HOW TO SET BEND CALIBRATION ON KRB MAGNABEND REBAR BENDERS

KRB MAGNABENDS are work horses in the fabrication environments they perform in. These Auto Bar Benders or Double benders not only reduce labor they allow for one operator to bend large bars hands free.

Because rebar can vary slightly from heat to heat, it is important to be able to tweak bend calibration in your rebar bender for more precise parts for your customers.

The article below offers a text version of how to do just that. Or click here to watch a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crwRf9SzBqA

Go to your control console of your Magnabend Rebar bender, start it up to boot up the console.

To change the rebar diameter size, from the home screen go to machine set up button. Select the rebar size from the pop-up screen. Then select the option for either split tooling or mandrel tooling.

To change the bend calibration, select the machine setup button then press machine configure.

Enter the password 123. On the right side of the screen, you will see the bend calibration for the tooling that you selected.

There is a 90° setting and a 180° setting. Change the counts to change the degree of bends. There is one for the moving bender and one for the stationary or fixed bender.

If the bend is weak on the 180°, increase the counts. If the bend is weak on the 90°, increase the counts.

If the bend is too hard, decrease the counts until you get the proper calibration. Increments of 10 counts are equal to about one half of a degree.

Run a test piece on a piece of scrap and adjust as necessary.
